Land Registry's Advisory Policy is intended to help both staff and customers distinguish between the advice and information that we can provide, and the legal advice which we cannot.

In addition to providing factual information, such as official copies of registers title plans and documents, we provide procedural advice. This means we can explain how the land registration system works and how to make applications correctly. We will not provide legal advice and cannot advise you on what action to take, other than procedural advice.
