    E-conveyancing

Land Registry has adopted a tranche approach for the delivery of e-conveyancing services. Each tranche includes defined services to be introduced and delivered electronically. In future there may be a move away from the tranche approach to a series of smaller, more regular releases.

It is expected that tranche 2 will include the following:

    E-coneyancing Tranche 2 Function

A take-up model has been developed forecasting the intakes of e-conveyancing dealings in tranche 2 and the resultant decline in the intake of paper applications, as illustrated in the chart below. These figures have been based on a number of assumptions, and it is important to note that they are indicative only, and that further detailed analysis will be conducted during the impact assessment for tranche 2. This is work in progress and is subject to change. No detailed work has been carried out to forecast intakes beyond tranche 2.
