The design principles for customers, as set out by the Land Registry Board, are that:

while acknowledging our requirement to provide statutory
services, Land Registry will develop a much greater
understanding of our customers and use that understanding to
inform future service design and delivery
- Land Registry will segment its customer base, to enable us to
serve customers in accordance with their specific needs
- Land Registry will recognise the needs of a wider stakeholder
base in delivering services.
