    Land Registry’s people

    To achieve the tough agenda we’ve set ourselves requires a culture that recognises the importance of people in our organisation. Technology is essential, but as the business becomes more automated, the jobs of our people will become more demanding and stimulating. To meet this challenge, we aspire to a culture where:

    • people are valued as individuals: their talents and potential are encouraged;
    • we recognise and value what everyone has to offer and understand the importance of different ways of thinking;
    • we acknowledge the importance of life outside work and the dual responsibilities that people have;
    • initiatives are considered against the impact they have on a balanced work-life;
    • peoples’ achievements are recognised – we will concentrate on what people can do not on what they cannot do; we are committed to and responsible for our own development;
    • we are flexible and work as one team with colleagues;
    • we challenge ourselves when we fail to live up to these aims.
