Our Strategic Approach
In June 2001, our Quinquennial Review (QQR) Report was published. This independent government review made recommendations about how Land Registry could make long-term improvements to the services that we provide.
After extensive consultation with staff, stakeholders and customers we agreed an ambitious long-term strategy that incorporated all of the appropriate recommendations from the QQR report. Following Ministerial approval, Land Registry officially launched this 10-year strategic plan on 28 May 2002.
So that the strategic plan remains challenging and relevant, Land Registry’s Directing Board has decided that the 10-year strategic plan is to be a ‘rolling’ document. This means that as one year is completed another year is added. This will ensure that we maintain a forward-looking approach, and can try to predict, and make appropriate arrangements for, those changes that lie ahead that will have the most impact upon shaping our future direction. From this year the Strategic Plan will be supported by an organisational blueprint which will signpost the way forward in more detail.
Land Registry’s Board reviews and republishes our strategic plan at the beginning of every financial year. Our Ministers approve all revisions to the Plan. This is the fourth such revision.
We will prepare annual business plans to bring together all of the specific key performance targets, business objectives and key action points for each of the ten financial years covered by this strategic plan. Our business plan will be available online early in each respective financial year. |
