Land Registry Experts At Rural Events Across England And Wales

As part of our communication campaign we will again be attending a number of external events across England and Wales during 2008. Register development staff will be on hand all day at each event to discuss voluntary registration with you, and answer any queries you may have. If you would like to know more about our attendance at these events, please contact the relevant event manager.

A 25 per cent discount is available for those who voluntarily register their land for the first time. To find out more about this and how land registration can benefit you, visit Land Registry's stand at one of the following events.

Notes

  1. If you would like any information on Land Registry attendance at these events, please contact Heather Corbett on 0115 906 5348 or heather.corbett@landregistry.gsi.gov.uk
  2. Voluntary land registration allows landowners to be in charge of their assets, to manage them more effectively now and in the long term, to consolidate complex legal information or historic data about their land and to better protect their land.
  3. The national register development team is based in Nottingham. Each of the 24 local offices has designated register development managers and support teams providing  knowledge and expertise to make the process of registering land as straightforward as possible.
  4. With the world's largest property database of over 20 million titles, Land Registry underpins the economy by guaranteeing ownership of many billions of pounds worth of property. Around   £1million worth of property is processed every minute in England and Wales.
  5. As a government department established in 1862, executive agency and trading fund responsible to the Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor, Land Registry keeps and maintains the Land Register for England and Wales. The Land Register has been an open document since 1990.
