Land Registration Act 2002

The Land Registration Act 2002 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2003

The Land Registration Act 2002 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2003, (S. I. 2003 No. 1953), came into force on 13 October 2003. This Order makes transitional provisions in addition to the transitional provisions contained in Schedule 12 to the Land Registration Act 2002.

The Order includes provisions covering

  • Applications pending on 13 October 2003
  • Transitional provisions for cautions and restrictions
  • Periods of grace for using old forms
  • Priority periods that commenced before 13 October 2003
  • Disputes existing on 13 October 2003
  • The continuing effectiveness of certain register entries
