    Clause LR12

LR12: Estate rentcharge burdening the Property

The term 'Estate rentcharge' here means a rentcharge as defined in s.1(2)(b) of the Law of Property Act 1925.
It does not mean the annual rent payable for leasing the property.

This clause relates solely to an entry of the burden of a rentcharge against the property. Registration of title to an estate rentcharge and notice of any rentcharge that affects other land must be the subject of separate applications.

Do not repeat the details of the rentcharge in this clause, but refer to the clause/schedule/paragraph number in the body of the lease that contains details of the rentcharge.

Please note that if this clause is left blank and no separate application in form AP1, AN1 or UN1 is made, Land Registry is not obliged to make any entry of the rentcharge.
