Introduction This module is designed to help you understand easements within the context of the land registration system. It is an advanced level course, aimed primarily at conveyancers, but can be used by students or anyone dealing with the registration of easements. It attracts 3 hours CPD. In this preview version only the 'What is an easement?' chapter is available in full, but the home pages of the other chapters can be viewed to help you see what the chapters contain..

The module is divided into chapters, each concentrating on a different aspect of the topic. Each chapter concludes with a short question and answer session to test your understanding. The module can be used in several ways.

• You can complete the whole module as a training course starting with the chapter What is an easement? The course will take approximately three hours to complete.
• Each chapter can be studied independently, at a pace that suits you.
• Use the contents link in the top right hand corner of each page to go direct to a specific element.
• You can print the Desk aids and study the chapters off-line. They contain the full text of a chapter.
