Official copies
Copies of the common parts title or a unit title can be applied for as normal
Common parts title:
Under the provision of the Rules, an application for official copies of a common parts title must have the following words inserted in panel 9 of form OC1:
"official copy(ies) of the register and title plan of the common parts in a commonhold development".
If the application is for an official copy of the common parts title register or plan or certificate of inspection in form C1, Land Registry will always supply an official copy of the register and an official copy of the title plan or certificate C1. However, only one special fee will be charged
Unit title:
With a unit title, Land Registry will issue only what has been applied for. The fee payable is the same as for any ordinary office copy application.
Other documents:
Official copies of current versions of key commonhold documents (e.g. the commonhold community statement) can be applied for by anyone, upon payment of the appropriate fee. Previous versions of the key documents can also be obtained, but a form OC2 should be used, lodged by either post or DX.
Official searches
Official searches against commonhold titles should be lodged in the same way as with other titles. The result given by Land Registry will also be the same, as is the priority period afforded by the search. |
