Qualifications in Land Registration Law and Practice

The Qualifications in Land Registration Law and Practice is a set of distance-learning courses.

It is run by Land Registry in partnership with the College of Law, the leading provider of legal education in the UK.

The partnership ensures academic integrity and professional delivery from the most authoritative sources possible.

Reduced fees for 2009 intake

Following feedback from students, we have reviewed the format of our fee structure and identified ways in which we can make our courses even more affordable.

Attendance at both the induction course and presentation ceremonies are now optional.

We have also held the prices for our study events at the same price as 2008.

The result is a reduction in enrolment fees of £295 for students of the certificate and £255 for diploma students compared to our 2008 fees.

Courses

Land Registry introduced the courses in September 2000.

Today, they are run at two levels (certificate and diploma).

The certificate is a one-year foundation course that provides a general introduction to property law, including the law and practice of land registration. The course is at A-level standard.

The diploma is a two-year course providing a comprehensive and detailed consideration of property law including the practice of land registration. The course is at degree level.
