Online Annual Review 2005/6

Social, community and environmental responsibilities

We take our social and environmental responsibilities very seriously and are proud of our track record in making improvements to the ways in which our day-to-day business affects the environment and people.

Land Registry is committed to doing all it can, as a government department, executive agency, and trading fund, to encourage a culture of diversity and staff development, to protect the environment, and to support positive interaction with the community.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy statement, 2004

We have a long-term CSR strategy to ensure that we continue to act as a responsible business and to improve the ways in which we interact with the community. A number of local offices have recently been involved with a range of successful Business in the Community volunteering challenges and Wales Office has been helping school pupils with their studies and careers planning.
