FOREWORD: CHIEF LAND REGISTRAR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Another record-breaking year of achievement It was a very testing year but we took a huge amount of satisfaction from overcoming all the obstacles in another record-breaking year of achievement. During the year: - workload increased with a 3 per cent increase in intakes and outputs.
- fee income fell slightly from £397.3 million in 2004/5 to £395.4 million
- expenditure fell from £369.19 million to £364.68 million.
A staggering 99 per cent of customers say that they are satisfied or very satisfied with the full range of services we provide. In total, 86 per cent of customers rated us as ‘much better’ or ‘better’ than others in the public sector. Seventy nine per cent rated us as ‘much better’ or ‘better’ than those in the private sector. - We registered a further 5 per cent of freehold land in England and Wales – roughly equivalent to the size of North Yorkshire.
- We complete the majority of routine property transactions affecting the whole of a registered title on the day of receipt.
