To provide the world’s best service for guaranteeing ownership of land and facilitating property transactions.

Vision

Making property transactions easier for all.

Strategic Objectives for 2004-05

1. To introduce, progressively, improvements in delivery of services to customers.

2. To introduce improved secondary legislation for land registration progressively from 2003.

3. To create a Land Register with comprehensive content and national coverage by 2012.

4. To promote and introduce progressively, new, electronic transactions in land and property from 2005 (e-conveyancing).

5. To make all key Land Registry services available online by 2005 (e-business).

6. To provide enhanced and transparent national, regional and district data services for the property market from 2003.

7. To identify the scope for providing further public services relating to our own sphere of activity, utilising our own skills, data and resources.
