IT upgrade

In order to offer a fully electronic Land Register, expand our range of electronic services and develop and promote e-conveyancing, Land Registry needs to continually increase its IT capability. We have been working on an IT upgrade project that aims to provide a further data centre capable of delivering enhanced system resilience. This will ensure that the IT infrastructure can support the re-engineered conveyancing system.  It is key to the delivery of our e-conveyancing programme and is a corporate key performance target for the 2005–06. We expect the new data centre to be completed in October 2005.
