Human resources

Learning and development

Our leadership development scheme, Future Leaders, was launched in March 2005 with a series of workshops for senior management teams. It will provide enhanced leadership development opportunities for staff at all levels. The most able participants will join the Central Accelerated Module to be run in partnership with the National School of Government and Henley Management College. The aim is to provide a timely flow of strong competitors for future Land Registry senior posts.

A number of staff at junior management level and above are studying for management qualifications, including MBAs with the Institute of Leadership and Management, Open University and local colleges.

We have a new range of workshops in communication, assertiveness, time management, inspirational leadership, change management and problem solving.

Our training spend was 16.9 per cent of the salary bill (up from 13 per cent) reflecting the high levels of support for training.
