Vectorisation of the Index Map

The last title was vectorised on 25 February 2004. The three-year project entailed the vectorising of our 450,000 paper Index Maps and the manual capture of 17.2 million titles (22 million polygons). It was delivered on time and within budget.

The completion of the project will enable Land Registry to provide a geographical gateway to all of our data. This will allow us to improve the quality, speed and accessibility of services to both internal and external customers, including automatic access over the internet.
