Strategic objective 1: Customer service and operations

Public reporting and accountability

We won the CIPFA/PricewaterhouseCoopers Public Reporting and Accountability Award 2004, under the category ‘National organisations with an annual turnover of more than £50 million’. We had previously won this award in 2002 and were runners-up in 2003.

The award seeks to recognise and promote best practice in public reporting and accountability arrangements across public services.

The judges highlighted that Land Registry had demonstrated ‘a strong keenness to engage their stakeholders in a two-way process and were not afraid of honest feedback’.
