Land Registry Direct

An internet version of Land Registry Direct was launched in March 2004. This allows customers to use the service from any networked PC in their own organisations. The internet version is in addition to the existing dial-up service using the Global Crossing secure extranet arrangement. Land Registry Direct is now available to over 20,000 users and we are receiving subscriber requests at the rate of 50 per day. Despite the maximum fee payable being only £4, Land Registry Direct attracted fee income of almost £1.5 million during March 2004 alone.
