Environmental performance

We successfully retained accreditation to ISO14001 at Head Office and 12 business units following the re-certification audit carried out by external consultants in January 2004. We expect to meet our accreditation target and have the whole of the Land Registry Estate obtaining ISO14001 certification by 2006.

The 12 units yet to be certified, and the Information Systems Group in Plymouth, began implementation of the Environmental Management System in April 2004. Certification is targeted for early 2005.

We are actively working towards all targets set as part of the Framework for Sustainable Development on the Government Estate.
