Corporate identity
The new corporate identity for Land Registry was revealed internally on Monday
31 March 2003. It will be implemented gradually over the next 12 months. We
have seized the opportunity to develop the new identity at a time when we needed
to re-write much of our existing printed and electronic material as a result
of the new Land Registration Act. With the development of e-conveyancing and
other online services, there was also a pressing need for an identity that worked
effectively across all communication platforms.
New commissioning processes have been introduced for all printed material,
signage, corporate clothing etc, to ensure we maximise the benefits and savings
and to minimise costs.
Our new identity has been developed from our original 1862 name of "Office
of Land Registry". Our corporate name is now "Land Registry"
and the District Land Registries will be known as Land Registry Offices, in
the style of "Land Registry, Plymouth Office". Our official title
will continue to be "Her Majesty's Land Registry".
