Inside the Land Registry

Equality proofing

We are committed to reviewing all HR policies and processes to ensure that they are equality proof, i.e. that they do not intentionally or inadvertently discriminate against, disadvantage or exclude any group(s) of people or individuals. We are carrying out further work to address equality issues for the appraisal process. We have also commissioned equality proofing of our job specific competences, which now cover over 90% of posts.

We have also worked with the Employers Forum on Age (EFA) to help develop a policy proofing toolkit in preparation for the introduction of age discrimination legislation.
