Corporate Governance

We are committed to a policy of continuous improvement in the availability, integrity and confidentiality of our systems and information. We have addressed this by strengthening our corporate governance.

We have embraced the code of practice set out in BS7799 (British Standard for Information Security ISO 17799), introduced more structured risk assessments and an electronic risk reporting system. These feed into a corporate risk register that is formally monitored, controlled and reported on. No fewer than 25 business continuity rehearsals have been conducted at our business units during the year. As a result, over a hundred best practice improvements were made.

External assessors audited our systems and information against ISO 17799 and they have recommended that we be awarded full accreditation.
