Chief Land Registrar's Report

Observe the key principles of the Service First initiative, as embodied in the Land Registry's Statement of Service Standards

The Land Registry's Statement of Service Standards embraces the nine Principles of Public Service Delivery and the six Service Standards for Central Government contained in 'Service First - The New Charter Programme'.

The Land Registry uses the Excellence Model to benchmark its business units. This year we have used 'Dolphin' material from the Cabinet Office's Centre for Management and Policy Studies with encouraging results and cost savings. Some of our business units entered for external awards; and we were delighted that the Gloucester Local Office won the annual South West Business Excellence Award.
