Inside the Land Registry

Recruitment

We have contained staffing at broadly the present levels, aligning it with the pace of the property market and the demand for land information services. Our investment in training and development and in information technology has meant that we have been able to process 55% more work with 30% fewer staff than in 1989. We continue to evaluate processes and improve effectiveness in order to achieve a diverse and representative workforce.
