E-Service Delivery

System Resilience

We are developing our long term strategy to ensure a highly resilient IT infrastructure is in place to cope with the heavy demands arising from the full roll-out of e-conveyancing.

We replaced both mainframe computers in 2001-02 and increased capacity thirty-fold.

We were awarded £15 million from the Government's Capital Modernisation Fund to strengthen further our IT infrastructure. The award is payable over two years (£1.1 m February 2003, £13.9m March 2004) and will be used to finance a third mainframe site away from our current operations.
