    Updating our maps

    OS has delivered an updated version of its rural mapping, with improved positional accuracy, on a national basis. This has moved all of the rural features in the database in a random way, which has had a significant impact on our data with the representation of topographic features that symbolise property boundaries moving in an unpredictable way.

    Our efficiency in processing our data to be compatible with OS's has increased radically in 2006/7, due largely to increased resource and system changes. As a result we expect to complete the programme in 2007, eight months ahead of our target date.
