Land Registry is a Crown body and the information we produce is subject to Crown copyright. The material listed in this Publication Scheme is Crown copyright unless stated otherwise. You can freely reproduce some of the material listed in this Publication Scheme as copyright has been waived. This includes: government press notices, legislation and explanatory notes on the legislation, consultation documents, and documents featured on official websites (except where otherwise stated – see the Terms and Conditions of Use on the Land Registry site).
For other types of material, however, the supply of documents under FOIA does not give anyone or any organisation an automatic right to re-use the documents in a way that would infringe copyright, for example by publishing them, making multiple copies, or issuing copies to the public.
For the purposes of research for non-commercial purposes, private study, criticism, review and news reporting you may reproduce brief extracts of any of the material included in this Publication Scheme. For any other use of the material, you may require a licence if copyright has not been waived.
Authorisation to re-use copyright material not owned by the Crown should be sought from the copyright holders concerned. Land Registry has no power to permit the use of material where the copyright is owned by third parties.
