At Land Registry, the value of both our staff and our customers is central to all that we do. Our aim to deliver a world-class service is provided by teams who reflect the society we live in (or serve).

Diversity for us is not an option: it is integral to our business; it helps achieve fairness at work and enhances our service to the public.

To demonstrate this commitment, our Single equality scheme 2007-2010 (PDF 463kb) together with the Single equality scheme action plan (PDF 168kb) shows how we are achieving a workforce that embraces diversity. These two policy documents integrate our existing equality schemes on race and disability as well as supporting our pledge on gender equality duty.

As a result of our equality schemes, we have started to screen our functions and policies for their relevance to diversity and have introduced an equality impact assessment (EIA) toolkit and guidance covering all diversity strands. Details of proposed EIAs can be found in our Single Equality Scheme and all completed EIAs will be published on this website.
